I chose this type of S (songezo) wrapping of weaving on the stone idea,
since I said it would work on any other shape. (woven solitaire ring-test piece of a pear shaped stone) but its always challenging putting side bands on the woven ring without no inner sleeve, soldering right on the edge of the weaving, being careful that solder does not run into the weaving, instead it must get soldered on the edge of the weaving and side band. Side band finishes the ring off nicely with a crispy edge as the boarder and also makes it rigid.
